Day 1: June 15, 2009
Travel. Wait. Travel. Wait. Travel. The i-ACT team hops from LA to Paris to NDJ to Abeche. One more hop to make it to Goz Beida and Djabal refugee camp, the home to tens of thousands of people that would rather be HOME.

I was so excited to hear the audio w/ the video of Abeche Day 1. This is the 1st audio video I ever heard on ‘my’ computer. My 26 yr. old son just hooked up some speakers today especially for this. I’m 51 yrs. old & not educated about computers much. The visual framing of the video was good too i.e. zoom in & out, etc..
Everyday I tell people about my daughters boyfriend, Eric who went to Africa to transmit video from satelite of the Refugees from Darfur. Today I shared it w/an Asian man who has a post doctorate in pathology @ Stanford University. He appeared interested. I also shared it w/a R.N. @ Palo Alto Medical Foundation. I hope they may look it up on the internet!
